I have a friend who literally is documenting protests for one of his classes and his wife has been shoved and threatened with death because they were filming. I have seen guns pulled and I just don't go to that town if I can't help it. To make matters worse, it's the capital seat. I have a judge friend who had two magistrates try to set him up to lose his seat through drunk driving. Instead they got caught for setting a trap and causing an accident. Luckily they weren't in the county seat and the city police responded. Guns are an issue. Protecing country and home is one thing. Just carrying because you can is another.
