Wow, are you guys out east drowned out yet?

I'm fine here... today was gorgeous.
I feel sorry for those folks south of us. Town that had gotten hit very hard by "Sandy" had a tornado yesterday.
It's my son in law's parents town. Manahawkin, NJ.
If they had to move in with my daughter and family ...again... LOL,... I think my daughter would defect.

Wow! That is scary! My thoughts and prayers are with them.  They have been through so much already!

   Thanks so much , ponytail for thinking about me when I was gone.... I wrote you a long post.
We had a wonderful time.
 
Only 'one' near bad thing happened. Scared us all to death.
Sunday night when we ate dinner, Liam who is 2 was asleep. He was pooped.
After dinner they have a long walking area with lights and shops and restaurants, etc in Cape May. We all went for a walk. We were going to get ice cream
The baby was hungry because he slept through dinner and they gave him some kind of a cookie that he has all the time here. Only thing... he put it in his mouth and it stuck to the roof of his mouth.
He panicked and started to choke.. It wasn't down his throat, but, he felt like he couldn't breathe. Wow.
Here we have my husband, a vol fireman, and son in law... same and he also knows cpr... all sort of helpless watching his Daddy try to help him. It was scary.
It took a while... with me , and my daughter in law and 2 granddaughters... welling with tears watching this little fella ....but.... things turned out ok... Thank the Lord.
I later said to my son..... hahaha This is only the beginning...Liam at 2 & with another baby on the way..

On Tuesday, August 27th... I find out if our new baby will be a Grandson or a Granddaughter.
Whether Liam will have a brother or sister.
This is new to us since with the other 6, we didn't know until we met them.

I guess a sweet little girl!

And I think she should be named Samantha and call her Sammie for short. I have always liked that name. Have they picked any out, or narrowed it down at least?

Well, of course I am happy anyway.boy or girl and don't want to guess. Liam would have fun with a little brother. But, I'd love for them to experience a little girl... a whole different route.
And, even though we will be finding out the gender, I doubt seriously if they will tell us the name.
I made a BiG mistake with her first pregnancy of saying I wasn't ecstatic  about the name Liam.
This was along the way... before we even knew what they were having.
I just thought my son would go for a more... general boy's name. OH OH... won't make this mistake again.
Her mom is Scottish.. and some of the names are ones I can't buy on decorations at Hallmark...if you know what I mean.
My daughter in laws name is Fern. Two cousins...Fiona and Shauna... so, I don't know what the name will be. And, you know what.. I don't care.
I happen to like Meagan....and you could call her Maggie.
LOL, I've been also pushing for the emergence of my own name.. and we could call her Barbie.
But, honestly, I'm thinking... boy?

I am very prejudiced when it comes to the name Meagan (Megan) since I have one of them myself!
