When I turned on the tv earlier , I thought.. oh no... are we really going to hear all these names again.
But, then I started listening and remembering and it wasn't long before a bell rang for a moment of silence...as is is right this minute at 10:28 am when the north tower fell, that I started with tears.
I know that for me there will never be a Sept 11th that I don't cry.

In the modern world where unwarranted hyperbole assaults the ears 24/7 and importance is defined by the number of twitter followers or you tube hits, it's nice to see someone earn greatness and the applause of millions the old fashioned way, through two decades of consistent and unparalleled excellence.  I speak of Mariano Rivera.  The greatest closer in the history of baseball.  Period.  When he leaves the stadium for the final time and walks into the night with his customary modesty, he will be accompanied by the quiet admiration of legions of fans and the thunderous silence of the thousands of bats that never quite caught up to his cutter.  Farewell, Mariano.  We won't see the likes of you again soon, perhaps never.  :clap:
