Congrats to the UConn men's b-ball team---UConn's fourth NCAA Men's b-ball championship in 15 years.  The UConn women go for their championship tonight.

Next season look out for the Blue Devils.  Duke is supposed to have a monster recruiting class entering this fall.  If Parker decides to stay, the Blue Devils should be one of the favorites for the championship in 2015.  Go Duke!! :clap:

This is a tragic week in recent American History.  On April 16, 2007 a seriously mentally disturbed student at Virginia Tech went on a shooting rampage, killing 32 people and wounding 17 others before committing suicide.  The incident sent shock waves through the entire community of people connected to Virginia Tech, including the Prankster.  He knows several families who had sons and daughters at Va. Tech at the time.  Thank God none of them were among the shooting victims.

The Prankster's daughter almost attended Va. Tech and would have been an undergrad at the time of the shooting.  The Prankster still shudders at the thought.

Hokie Nation will be in the Prankster's prayers tonight.

Regardless of the outcome of this year's playoffs the Prankster is getting a bit excited about the Washington Wizards.  Their young backcourt is among the best in the NBA and the guards are still learning.  If the Wizards can figure out a way to hold onto these guys and put the right pieces around them they could be good to very good for the next decade.  (The Prankster must be off of his meds again.)

On May 15th the LA Chapter of the NAACP planned to honor a local citizen with a Lifetime Achievement Award.  In light of recent developments the organization decided to reverse course and not make the award.  The intended recipient:  Donald Sterling.  :c029:

If the Wizards play like they did against the Bulls they stand better than an even money chance of beating the Pacers. :72:

BTW, the NBA playoffs have been phenomenal.  Five out of eight playoff series have gone 7 games.  Much of the basketball has been spectacular.  A group of world-class athletes playing at the limits of their abilities.  For even the casual fan the basketball should be a real treat.


P.S.  PD--a very impressive comeback by your Bruins.
