Jonathan Winters passed away yesterday.  He wasn't the funniest comedian and he battled mental illness for a good part of his life but I thought that in his prime he was one of the most creative, inventive comedians around.  Rest in Peace Jonathan.

Adam Scott finally won a Major.  He's been one of the best ball strikers on Tour for a long time and he has a beautiful swing.  People wondered whether he would ever break through because he just didn't seem to have the moxie.  Today he proved that he does and I hope and believe he will win even more.  Way to go Adam Scott!! :72: :08: :cool2:

Sorry Cookie, no smiles from me today.  Once again, the unthinkable becomes fact, the unimaginable reality.  Once again families weep and bury a brother, a sister, a son, a daughter.  IN the coming days we will know the who and the why, politicians will make political hay, there are those who will scream that this blood debt be repaid in kind, with interest.  And we will surrender another pound of our freedom, perhaps our values, for more individual and collective security.  The frustrating thing for me is I don't know what to do about it.  Can't do nothing, can't do everything, just sort of muddle through.  On days like this, for me, to quote Karl Childers, "the world is too large."  I'm getting awfully sick, heartsick, of these days.

I just feel numb.  Boston is such a great city and now this.  Lives forever changed.  An eight year old loses his/her life on the first day of vacation. I will just wait for the anger to kick in......it's coming.
