The Borgias

Are there any fans of "The Borgias" out there?  Season three begins this Sunday night on Showtime.  Jeremy Irons stars as Pope Alexander VI (I think) and conducts the most corrupt Papacy in the history of the Church (I hope).   I love Jeremy Irons and the story is fairly high-level soap opera.

Me, me, me! I've watched every one of them. Pretty graphic! Had to turn away when King Francis used his chained cannonballs-yuck! I will be watching it.

Speaking of King Francis, what did you think of his accent?  It seemed awfully weird to me----he sounded like some kind of punch-drunk fighter trying to speak w/a hybrid French-British accent.

I know! I wonder what he was like in real life, if that is what history said he sounded like and that is why. Strange little man.
