This might not qualify as a Limerick but composing it was a cathartic experience.  (MP is just kidding!.....or is he?)


I jump when the phone cries out with loud ring,
Trembling hand reaches for the news it will bring.

Sound echoes in my head,
With the words I so dread,

My wife maxed out our credit cards on bling!

Could it possibly be my "big" ring
I was ready to gush
But, then came a big...hush
