Jeannette Walls is a journalist widely known as former gossip columnist for MSNBC.com and author. The Glass Castle is a memoir of the nomadic family life of her childhood, which stayed on the New York Times Best Seller list for 261 weeks.
The book is very well written and has since been made into a movie (but the book is better!!) It is amazing to me that children coming from the childhood lived would turn out as such productive members of society. I recommend the read.
