After years of saying he would, Donald Trump has officially cast his hat in the ring....and is running for President of the U.S on the Republican ticket.
Now he is off to start campaigning. What are your thoughts about him ?
-
Donald Trump is a shrewd businessman and is a master at branding himself. His Presidential campaign is a combination of giant ego and shrewd marketing of his name. Let us see what happens when dozens of reporters and internet sleuths dig into Trump's business background in the coming weeks. Can you say toxic waste?
-
Heard him tell George Stephanopoulas he was going to build a wall between Mexico and the US, and was going to make Mexico pay for it.
-
If not for anything else, "The Donald" will bring up different subjects he wants answers about ...from the other runners. He's great at doing this.
Look at the big fuss he made about Obama's birth certificate. It blew up the media for months, such that Obama finally released it to the public.
So, whether he seriously wants to be President, I don't know,...but, he certainly will make this race a whole lot more interesting ....keeping the others on their toes.
-
Don't get me started. This election is turning into a joke. I can just see it now:
Donald Trump, President of the United States, has decided to play apprentice with the (insert government high office here). Apply now to be the next Secretary of State apprentice.
-
The more the merrier. I think that this election is going to be quite interesting.
-
At least we will have these gems--

Hahahahaha! Couldn't resist!

The latest poll of Republican voters in NH has Donald Trump second, behind only Jeb Bush.

Not looking forward to Trump running, Would love to see Ben Carson get elected. And definitely do not want Hillary in there
-
I am all for Ben Carson. If you are on Facebook we have an active group working to get him elected. I have my bumper sticker already and try to write something every day to encourage people to consider him.
I don't know what will happen to this country if Hillary wins the election. I hope something happens and she isn't the Democratic nominee.
-
Yikes! I don't belong in this discussion at all...<ponytail tiptoeing away>
-
backs out of this post quietly!!
-
Oh my, I am afraid that some people may believe what comes out of Hillary's mouth!
-
Nope, I'm listening to his own words! She has nothing to do with it! He really creeps me out. Sorry, Snowbird. Trump is worse, though.
-
It looks like we might have a Socialist running for the Democrat party instead of a woman who may face an indictment over her emails that she still denies although the FBI say they have found very classified material on her personal server. I don't think a lot of the younger generation know what a Socialist is and I hope this country isn't going from being a Capitalist republic to a Socialist. They don't understand that you can't give away free everything without having someone making the money to pay for it.
I think I will go for whichever Republican runs, Trump or whoever it is.
-
Trump fits lots of the characteristics of a fascist though, that is much scarier to me.

Actually, the characteristics that don't fit him, fit some of the others. I don't mind the more moderate Republicans, esp Kasich. And even Bush.
-
Both Hilary and Trump make me shiver. -Shiver- :91:

Caesar's, er..The Donald's preliminary list of VP candidates: Omarosa, Gary Busey, Kim Kardashian, Snookie, The Real Housewives of New Jersey and three members of the Duck Dynasty family. The Prankster heard that the Donald really wanted Inspector Clouseau but he is not a natural born US citizen.
-
Trump is a bully, most of his campaign that I have seen had been nothing but name calling and being a flat out bully. Politics are one thing but he brings people who aren't involved into it, and hits below the belt in areas that have nothing to do with politics. I fear what he will do to your country if elected, and what he will do to other countries as well. I will not cross the boarder into the United States if he is President.
-
And his sons sound just as bad as he does! A very dangerous man....
-
The Prankster understands the strong feelings people have about the Trumpster but I have a great deal of trouble taking The Donald seriously as a Presidential Candidate. But I am really enjoying the Republican race because it is the source of endless amusement and comedic material. It has become a giant joke on the American people.
Speaking of the American people, we get what we deserve. If one examines the evolution of American society over the past 30-40 years, the candidacy of Donald Trump is a logical outcome.

this was a visual impact to me.

If he uses derogatory terms relating to women again , whether its directed to a female or not...... :021: I'm going to put him on the naughty spot.
-
Court, you are so right. Just when you think it can't get any worse, he comes up with something. The KKK is now 'endorsing' him, they haven't quite come our and said it, but I am sure they soon will. "make American hate again', or make America white again', are two of the slogans I have heard repeated about him recently. And now he has said if he is president and gets any negative comments from the press, he will sue them. Suppression of free speech. Just like at his rallies where he strong arms all protestors out the door. :91:

The Prankster has heard that the Trumpster plans to keep Megyn Kelly out of Thursday night's debate by building a wall and making Fox News pay for it.

Just sayin'.

I try to stay out of political threads but Trump as president scares me. And what's posted above scares me more.

I think I know where The Donald got his immigration policy. Ivana, The Donald's ex-wife who claims to be one of his advisors, said the following (direct quote):
“As long as you come here legally and get a proper job," she said "We need immigrants. Who’s going to vacuum our living rooms and clean up after us? Americans don’t like to do that.â€
WOW!
