The Affair is a new dramatic serial on Showtime. It airs on Sundays at 9PM EDT.
The plot concerns two married people who have an affair and its consequences (including murder?). Only the first show has been aired but the exposition is interesting and it includes the initial encounters between the protagonists. Two noteworthy aspects: None of the characters are particularly likable and the story is told in a flashback format, with each protagonist recounting the same time period with common events. But, their recollections differ markedly, which makes it interesting for the viewer. Also, the recollections are being given during questioning at a police station. Hmmmm........
