It was only inches away from my nose. The smell was so pungent it woke me from my dream, and what a dream it was. I kept my eyes closed in hopes that I could manage to fall asleep and finish it. I was dreaming about a young man with only very brief briefs on, muscles rippling, a naughty tattoo on his upper arm, that moved in just the right way when he flexed his muscles. His lips had just touched mine and his hand was caressing my back when the rancid smell, like a decomposed body, reached my nose again. Then with another lick across my mouth I opened my eyes to see Fido in my face and realizing that he had once again helped himself to the cat liter box!
