Boom! Molly McCauley ducked reflexively, even knowing that the redcoats' cannons couldn't possibly strike her here, so many yards from the front line. Fumbling more from surprise than fear she nearly dropped her water pitcher, which was once again full and heavy, 'Molly Pitcher', as it had so many times before this, a frail voice called out from darkness. Heeding the call, Molly hoisted her pitcher once more and strove bravely into the smoke of battle to bring what comfort she could to the tired and wounded men of the American Revolution. The cannoneer who had called her name was unconscious when Molly reached him and his cannon lay silent amidst the British barrage. Never one to shirk her duty or shrink from a challenge Molly took up his post loading the heavy balls and ramming the wadding home before lighting the fuse and sending the heavy shot towards the enemy - BOOM! All the while she kept pouring drips of water down the over-tired cannoneer's throat until he finally came round and was able to take over his post from his most unusual replacement.

That was great trouble.

Boom! Boom!  Maggie looked up at the sky over the mall and saw the fireworks going off but it only reminded her of Jeff.  Her husband wasn't here to enjoy this celebration with her and their little girl.  She wondered if he was hearing a similar noise where he was in the Middle East, a noise not coming from a celebration but from war.  She turned her attention to her daughter, sitting on the hood of the car.  The expression on her face was one of wonder and joy but Maggie noticed she wasn't looking up at  the sky but into the crowd of people.  Maggie's eyes followed in the direction of her daughter's vision.  Then she saw Jeff, working his way through the crowd of people with his arms wide open.

And the winner is.....Snowbird! Snowbird, you tugged at my heart strings. I have a daughter who was in Iraq and I remember the joy on her sons' faces when they saw her deplane. So you can put up the next sentence for us to work from!

Everyone, take a couple of minutes and join in the fun!
