Bridgerton--a Regency romance with a very diverse cast. It reminds me of a very, very, very steamy novel, the kind that has 2 half naked lovers on the cover in a close embrace. That has never really bothered me that much, and so I really liked this new Netflix hit, although it might not be for everybody. The Bridgertons are an uppercrust British family with a daughter coming out into London society--Daphne. She has a love/hate relationship with the Duke of Hastings --Simon, who is black. The Queen of England is also black, as well as other key players in the story. A court gossip named Lady Whistledown keeps things spicy, lively, and contentious. Fun! Has anyone else watched it?
