Recap for Episode 9
« on: April 28, 2013, 11:39:54 PM »
The task this week was to make a video displaying LG products, showing the interaction and web connection of their products.  The product specialist explained that their slogan was LG Makes Life Good.  The teams would be judged on creativity, overall presentation, and the integration of the product.  Gary was project manager for Plan B and Lil' Jon was project manager for team Power.

The product specialist explained to the two teams that their smart phone could control the TV, laundry, and refrigerator as well as be a camera, E reader, and tablet.  The products are easy to learn to operate and a lot of fun for the family.

Penn and Lisa tried to put out some ideas to Gary but he hushed them up.   He didn't want to listen to them but wanted time to think about the concept he wanted to use.  What he came up with was for a family to be discussing the smart phone and then the dad, which would be him in the video, would say that next LG was going to come up with a mechanical dog, at which time he would bark.  Lisa and Penn said they had no idea what his concept meant but they tried to do what they could to help him.  There was little communication between Gary and the other team members on this project.

Lil' Jon's team planned to do a video  where the mother, played by Marilu, would be able to show off her knowledge of the smart phone and all it was capable of doing to her son, who was just home from college.

Lil' Jon's team was the winner.  The concept of the barking dog, who everyone said looked more like a dog barking and then throwing up, was not understood.  In the boardroom Gary complained that he had no positive reinforcement  and felt abandoned.  Penn explained that they tried to give input but Gary would not let them finish any of the ideas they came up with.  Gary accused Lisa of screaming at him to which both Lisa and Penn said was not true.  During the entire discussion Gary saw things one way while Penn and Lisa saw it another way.  In the end, Gary was fired.  In the cab he continued to blame everyone but himself about being the loser.
