We've had our share of rain lately.
I wish Willie was still on BB.  It is so boring.

And now it is 65 here--nothing like a 40 degree drop in temperature...feels like fall.

First day of school!

LOL sovery that is a good one!

I have had a sad day.   A few days ago someone left a starving, almost hairless dog in our neighborhood so I had to feed it until I could get somewhere to take it.  Tried all the animal shelters and rescuers around,  they were all filled up.  Already having 3 dogs and 3 cats I could not take another one so finally had to take it to the vet and have her put to sleep.  My daughter went with me and she cried and so did I.  We stayed with her until it was all over, didn't want her to go to sleep without some loving arms around her.  Why do people have pets if they won't look after them.

Just hoping everything goes good tomorrow at the CNE Warriors Day march, my dad is now 87 and I worry about how tired he is becoming, I know he is winding down, because he tells me so.
I know he has livied a full life, but I can never amagine him not here with me.....one of my best friends and my hero for sure!
So tomorrow he is honered for what he did in WW2 & Korea, he is such a humble and loving man and I am so proud to be his daughter, I hope the weather is good and the sun shines down on them while they march!
:) :) :) :)

I recently had a vignette I wrote published on a site for women middle-aged and older.  It was about something funny that happened to me a few years ago.  If you would like to read it you can find it at the site below under archives.

It is called Powered By Me.
If you like to write you might want to enter something in the contest.

Snowbird...love this quote... "I became acutely aware of this relaxation on my body when I tried on the clothes I had bought at an end-of-summer sale a year ago." ....don't  forget us 'little people' when you make it big!  :Woot_Emoticon:
